One Tough Mama

Today during my visit to the chiropractor I was asked if I was a strict mom. I was about to answer "no", until I was reminded of the following occurrence:

Isaac (holding onto something imaginary): I have a flashlight.

Me: Oh, you do, huh?

Isaac: Yep...I got it in your eyes!

Me: Give it here. We don't shine flashlights in people's eyes.

Isaac (sullenly handing me the nothing): I'm sorry. I won't do it again. Can I have it back?

Me: Nope. I'm going to keep it for a while.

...My kids don't stand a chance.

However, Isaac did have a raspberry-filled, powdered sugar-covered doughnut for lunch, so I guess it's a give and take situation.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! That really did make me laugh out loud. I bet he gave you the most confused look when you took it and said that.

This is too cute! I love your sense of hummor! It's good to be able to laugh at situations like these... Just wait until he gets older and says, "hey mom, remember when you took my immaginary flash light away?" Then you both get to laugh about it. : )
I am glad you like the pictures. I know how hard it is to pick the "good ones". I think I have my list narrowed to 10 at the momment! I guess it will have to be a surprise when everyone get's the wedding invitations! Hope the family and on-the-way little one are doing well!

It's been a while since something struck me THAT funny. I can imagine it as if I were there: poor, sad Isaac, heartbroken over his imaginary flashlight having been taken away, never to return. And mom, watching as her young son walks away with shoulders slumped; her smile nearly breaks into an audible laugh...yet she cannot let it happen, for she would rob herself of her victory. HILARIOUS!!
