Revisiting My Childhood

Remember the Christmas specials that used to come on TV. Oh they were great...Garfield, Charlie Brown, BC, For Better or Worse, Iggy? The list goes on. They just don't make them like that anymore. I was unfortunate enough to suffer through watch some "Christmas" specials with Isaac yesterday. I guess that these days for a show to be a Christmas special there just has to be snow and a Santa hat in the episode. I feel bad for my kids.

One of my favorite specials was the Claymation Christmas. It included the California Raisins, a We Three Kings segment and the Carol of the Bells. I've chosen to share the latter since it is one of my favorites. I still think it's hilarious, even as an overgrown adolescent adult.

I love that one too! I haven't thought of it for years! Thanks for reminding me of the fun Christmas specials they had when we were kids!

Yet something else I didn't see in my sadly neglected childhood. However, I thought it was hysterical and watched the whole thing on youtube with my kids. The line about what could be more Christmassy than waffles slays me.

How do you do that? I had no idea you could download things like that on your blog. Stand back and watch out...I'm gonna load mine with that kind of stuff (once you teach me how to do it). How fun! You're an amazing little squirt. And I don't think I ever saw that particular one. pretty good.

Merry Christmas Dear Daughter!
Love you!

I must admit I do not recall ever seeing this Christmas episode. I must have been neglected as well! Thanks for reminding me of the good ol days. They just don't make em' like they used to, that is for sure! Merry Christmas.
