Mommy's Asleep, Let's Get the Camera!

Last Tuesday I was so tired. I woke up and got Isaac off to school and then laid back down because I just couldn't keep my eyes open. Kenley and Jack woke up so I had to get them taken care of and then I laid down on the couch. The kids entertained themselves until Isaac got home from school and I got up just long enough to feed them lunch. Then I put Jack down for a nap and told the other kids it was quiet time. I hit the bed again and didn't get up until 4:00. By the time I got out of bed the kids had already let Jack out of his crib. I was thankful that they had let me sleep. Later that day I told Jeremiah about how it had felt like the day of the living dead for me. He asked, "What did the kids do?" Since I had only been semi-conscious all day the only answer I could give was, "I don't know."

Then somewhere between Tuesday and yesterday I realized I didn't know where our camera was. I asked Jeremiah if he knew its whereabouts and Isaac gave a quick reference to when he and Kenley, "took a few pictures." We finally located the camera and I found that "a few pictures" turned out to be 106 pictures! Most of them were of things like the carpet, wall, TV, and toys with blurs of kids running through the shot. I'll be deleting most of them, but here are a few that made me laugh.

Obviously pretending the sleep. And, honestly, who doesn't want a picture of their brother's bum?

I suppose it is a good sign that at least they were having fun!
I love the I'm-trying-so-hard-to-look-sad face.

Isn't digital SO GREAT! So much better than film. The kids can take 106 pictures and it's not a big deal. If you don't want them, just delete them! And they have fun taking their own pictures.

That's awesome. I remember being pregnant and wanting to do nothing but sleep. When kid #2 comes along I hope it's better because I have no idea what I'll do with kid #1 when I'm so sleepy.

I'm so glad that you admitted to "neglecting" your children while you take a nap/s. Cause MAYBE I've done that too.

I'm so glad there's not a picture of 'FIRE' on that film. Looks like they had a ball--at least Jack was having fun. Isaac wanted to use my camera the other day and I told him it wasn't a "toy". Now I know why he thinks cameras are there for the fun of it. Future Photgraphers of America--UNITE!

I think its great the kids played together AND didn't break the camera.
